Who collects the data
The app and the site are made by “Meniň Günüm”. Contact: destek@meningunum.app.
We do not sell data and do not pass it to ad networks. The app has no ads.
What stays on your phone
The following is stored on your device only. We keep no copy on our servers:
- name, age, height and weight — if you entered them
- marked prayers, qada list, dhikr counter
- your daily plan, your own items, goals
- steps and weight history
- income and expense records
- your chat with Samir and what he remembered about you
- downloaded books, nasheeds and lessons
What is sent to servers
Only when you use the matching feature, and only as much as it needs:
- Prayer times: your city coordinates are sent to api.aladhan.com. No name, phone number or other personal data is sent. Offline, times are computed on the phone and nothing leaves it.
- Samir (AI assistant): the text you write is sent to ollama.com to get an answer. That is a separate company with its own terms. So do not give Samir ID numbers, passwords or bank details.
- Library, news and lessons: a request for a file reaches the moyday-shariad.ru server. We see the file id, not your name.
- Premium key: sent to moyday-shariad.ru to check that it is genuine.
Google account and backup
Signing in with Google is optional — the app works fully without it.
Once signed in we can see your email and name. We do not store them on our servers.
The backup is written to a hidden application folder inside your own Google Drive (appDataFolder). It is not visible among your files, takes no visible space, and only this app can reach it — neither we nor other apps can read it.
The Samir key is not in the backup: it ships with the app build.
Permissions and why they are needed
- Location — to compute prayer times and the Qibla direction for your city. You may refuse it and pick the city by hand.
- Notifications — prayer times and reminders.
- Exact alarms — so the adhan sounds to the minute.
- Physical activity (steps) — for the step counter. The data stays on the phone.
- Internet — for the services listed above.
Payment
When premium is bought through Google Play, Google handles the payment. We never see or store your card number.
When a key is used, only the key itself and its expiry are stored.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Deleting your data
At any time you can:
- Data on the phone: Settings → Apps → Meniň Günüm → Clear storage. Or simply uninstall the app.
- Backup on Google Drive: Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps → Meniň Günüm → Delete hidden app data.
- Unlink the Google account: in the app, Profile → Sign out. To revoke access fully: myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps.
- To delete the premium key record on our server, write to destek@meningunum.app. We remove it within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date on this page is updated. We announce significant changes in the app.
