The most common questions about the app. If your answer is not here, ask Samir in the bottom-right corner.
The app is downloaded from /download as an APK. Android 8.0 or newer is required. On first install Android asks for permission to install from an unknown source — grant it to your browser.
To update, download the latest APK from /download and install it over the old one. Your data is kept.
Prayer times are calculated from your location. In settings you pick the calculation method (Muslim World League, Diyanet, Umm al-Qura and others) and the school (Hanafi / Shafi'i). It also works offline — the phone calculates locally.
If the time is off by a minute or two, settings let you set a manual offset (+/- minutes) per prayer. If the city is wrong, re-detect your location in settings.
If reminders don't arrive, check three things: notifications allowed, exact-alarm permission granted, and the app excluded from battery optimisation. All three have buttons in settings.
The Qibla screen uses the phone's compass. If the needle jumps, move the phone in a figure-eight a few times to calibrate it. Keep metal and magnets away.
Free vs premium: custom items 3 → 7, Samir requests 30 per day → unlimited, your own books 3 → 50. Prayer times, Qibla, Quran and the other core sections work fully on the free plan too.
Enter the key on the Premium screen and tap activate. The key binds to the device. To move it to another phone, deactivate it on the old one first.
Premium works offline, but not forever: the app trusts the last successful check for 7 days. After that, opening the app once with internet restores it.
The app has four languages: Turkmen, Russian, English and Arabic. You change it in settings; no restart needed.
Your progress is saved to your Google account through Android's own backup and restores itself when you install the app on a new phone. The profile screen shows which account it is.
The step counter uses the phone's sensor and asks for the physical-activity permission. Without it, steps are not counted.
Your data stays on the phone. Only the licence check and the questions you send to Samir go to a server. The app does not read contacts, photos or messages.
